Membership

Membership of the DSIC is open to any organisation at any time which fulfils the criteria for membership and is approved by the Executive Committee. There are two types of members:

  • Full Members. Organisations which have met the contribution criteria agreed by the Advisory Board.
  • Affiliate Members. Organisations which do not qualify as Full Members but which have an interest in the activities of the DSIC.
The benefits and other returns to Members are determined by the Executive Committee and Board and are reviewed annually.

Full Members

Full Members include defence industry and universities. Defence industry Full Members primarily are defence Prime Contractors while University Full Members are expected to be Australian Universities. Full membership comprises a mix of cash and in-kind contributions as agreed with the Full Member.

Associate Members

Associate Members include defence industry and university organisations which have an interest in the activities of the DSIC. Associate membership comprises a mix of cash and in-kind contributions as agreed with the Associate Member.

Membership fees are utilised by DSIC to provide mutually agreed research and training services to the member (of value equivalent to the membership fee).
