Operating Model

DSIC has a range of engagement options to enable the Defence community to achieve innovative outcomes.

  • Partnerships. Partnerships provide the opportunity for establishing a long-term relationship between and among DSIC stakeholders. DSIC partner organisations are able to receive advanced consulting, research, development, education and training services and access to DSIC' s facilities.
  • Contracted Services. Contracted services include consulting and task specific support relating to DSIC's themes and capabilities.
  • Training and Education Services. The Centre is able to provide individual and enterprise-based training courses and programs from its portfolio of currently available courses and programs. In addition, new courses and programs can be developed and delivered collaboratively with its partners or with organisations that have their own specific requirements. Flexible delivery options are available.
  • Research. DSIC has the capacity to obtain independent research funding from both national and international programs. As a public sector research organisation, DSIC is committed to maintaining its leading edge skills and know-how base through applied research programs developed in consultation with DSIC partner organisations and other stakeholders.
