Governance
The DSIC governance structure comprises:
- the Joint Venture partners, working through the Executive Committee
- the Advisory Board
- the Management Committee which is primarily responsible for review and management of DSIC's operations
- the Research Advisory Committee which is responsible for advising the Board on strategic directions of and specific research activities for DSIC
- other sub-Committees set up by the Board as required.
Executive Committee
The business activities of the JV are overseen by an Executive Committee comprising representatives of the joint venture partners. The Executive Committee has overall governance responsibilities for DSIC. - Dr Stephen Cook, Director, Defence and Systems Institute, University of South Australia
- Mr Paul Arthur, Business Development Manager, Adelaide Research & Innovation, the University of Adelaide
- Mr Peter Croser, Chief Executive Officer (Director) DSIC (non-voting)
Advisory Board
The Advisory Board's role is primarily to provide strategic guidance to the JV partners through the Executive Committee, the key members of which also sit on the Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board contributes knowledge, connections and strategic inputs to help steer DSIC on a course to becoming an advanced systems engineering centre of national significance by providing:- input to and review of DSICs strategic and business plans
- guidance on sources of consulting, training and research business which fit with DSICs mission and objectives
- assistance with capacity and capability planning

Management Committee
The Management Committee (MC) is chaired by the CEO and is responsible to the Executive Committee for:- assisting the CEO in the development and review of strategic plans
- reviewing and allocating budgets to Projects and other activities
- setting priorities for the DSIC operations
- acting as the executive for approving matters delegated by the Executive Committee.
